Research Overview

Sermorelin is a synthetic analogue of the first 29 amino acids of endogenous growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29-NH2). It was previously FDA-approved as a diagnostic agent for GH deficiency before being discontinued for commercial reasons, and remains an active subject of research.

Research has examined Sermorelin’s mechanism of action through GHRH receptors in the pituitary gland, its role in stimulating endogenous GH synthesis and secretion, and its profile in animal models of GH axis research. Studies have compared its action to exogenous GH administration.
